Nancy Blanton writes award-winning historical fiction set primarily in 17th century Ireland. Her fourth novel, When Starlings Fly as One, tells the story of Ireland’s longest siege at Rathbarry Castle, County Cork, during the Great Rebellion of 1641. It is a hero’s journey amid war, struggle, enduring spirit, and survival—a story of two sides. Blanton has won several state and national literary awards in the U.S. She’s a member of the Historical Novel Society, Florida Writers Association, and is co-founder of Amelia Indie Authors, a co-op of writers helping writers. She’s been a journalist, magazine editor, and corporate communications leader. She lives in Florida.
