The Amelia Island Book Festival's mission is to promote lifelong learning for people of all ages within Northeast Florida.  We nurture an appreciation for literacy by providing quality events featuring Local and New York Times Best Selling Authors, essay contests, scholarships and much more!
 

Our Award-Winning Authors in Schools Program brings authors into Northeast Florida schools to engage and inspire students from pre-kindergarten through high school.

Here is what the Amelia Island Book Festival has accomplished in our first 22 years:

  • Invested over $2M in Northeast Florida Literacy

  • Brought over 1500 authors and over 100 New York Times Best Selling authors to Amelia Island as part of the festival 

  • Distributed over 120,000 books to Nassau County students

  • Reviewed over 1,400 student short story and scholarship submissions

  • Published over 400 short stories 

  • Awarded annual College Scholarships
